Congratulations for Hundred Years of Saint Scholastica's College, Manila

Dear Mother Mary John and all dear Sisters!

My hearty congratulations on your Centenary celebration!  With you I thank the Lord for those hundred years in which HE led St. Scholastica's College through times of sorrow and of joy, of destruction and reconstruction, of death, re-birth and growth, and in which HE faithfully sustained our Sisters and their co-workers in their service to thousands of Filipino children and youth, offering them an education that would not only afford them academic excellence but lead them to become mature Christians who are aware of their

responsibility to God and their fellow people, who know how to love, how to bring joy and peace and comfort to others - who joyfully and faithfully live our Benedictine Ora et Labora.

May God guide you to a grace-filled courageous commitment to the future, built on your blessed living past.

I rejoice with you and pray that your celebration will turn to a joyful hymn of praise and thanksgiving sounding into the second century of SAINT SCHOLASTICA'S COLLEGE.
