The Manila Priory and St. Scholastica's College are
celebrating their 100th Anniversary of presence in the
Philippines. Thus, we are celebrating a CENTURY of Missionary
Benedictine presence in the Philippines, 1906-2006.

stands for Benedictine Peace.
The
(intertwined) shows that the Priory,
Missionary Benedictine Sisters, Manila Priory and the St.
Scholastica's College, Manila, Philippines are ONE.
The first 5 Missionary Benedictine Sisters arrives in the
Philippines on September 14, 1906. They settled in Moriones,
Tondo.
Three months later, St. Scholastica's College, Manila was
founded on December 3, 1906.
When they opened the school in windowless wagon shed, there
were 6 girls and 2 boys in
the paying section and 50 boys in the free school.
