Tutzing in Bavaria, Germany is the site of the
Motherhouse of the Congregation. It was from there that the first sisters were sent
to the German colonis of Africa in the later years of the 19th century.
In the first years of the 20th century as
more and more young women joined the Congregation, calls for the strengthening of the
faith in various countries were answered. Young German sisters were sent to Brazil
in South America in 1905, to the Philippines in 1906, and to other lands in the ensuing
years – the United States, Bulgaria, Korea, Japan, Australia, Spain, Argentina,
China, India.
