The College subscribes to and supports the right of the student to meet in free assembly in campus facilities reserved for the purpose and to pursue their discussions therein. It encourages the students to use College classrooms, facilities, equipment, etc. for business meetings and for social, cultural and recreational activities. At the same time, the College also reserves the right to deny the use of these venues, equipment, etc. to those who are unable or unwilling to abide by school regulations. Proper procedures for the use of the school classrooms, facilities, equipment, etc. must be followed. The following rules apply vis-à-vis their use. 1. Reservation of classrooms for class and organizations should be done at least 2 days before the activity. 2. Good order requires that classrooms be kept neat and clean. The blackboard and chalk are for instructional purposes only. Feet should be kept off furniture and walls. Equipment should be handled with reasonable care and properly stored after use. After classes, students should arrange the chairs and tables in their proper order, clean the blackboard and pick up any litter in the classroom. 3. Furniture, chairs, tables and chalk/whiteboards may not be moved from their original location without permission from the Student Affairs Office (SAO). 4. Students may not use the administration's and faculty's bulletin boards as well as boards in the classrooms and along corridors for personal messages. Alterations and tampering of official notices by students not authorized to do so are causes for disciplinary action. 5. Students are expected to take care of the school property. Anyone who uses school facilities or equipment without securing proper permit from the school office/s concerned and/or damage school property shall be subjected to disciplinary action. Students are to replace or pay for any damage that they may cause to school property. 6. Malfunction in any school equipment or facility should be reported immediately to the SAO. 7. Eating in the classroom, Social Hall and Maryville Study Hall is not allowed except when eating is connected with an official social function and upon approval of the SAO. |
