Requirements

1.    Interview of parents and/or guardians and applicants by the resident administrator.

2.    Contract properly filled out by the parents and/or guardian of the applicant.

3.    Class Schedule of applicant

4.    Two (2) pieces of 2 x 2 picture

5.    Duplicate set of keys for resident's room and cabinet

Attendance 

1.    Accomplish correctly the time in/out log record with the security guard

2.    Observe strictly the curfew time of 10:00pm from Monday to Sunday

3.    You are not allowed to go out of the dormitory after 10:00pm, except on emergency cases.

4.    For important activities done outside the dorm that would lead beyond the curfew time, submit to the Resident Supervisor a request for permission to return past the curfew time not later than 6:00pm of the day prior to the scheduled activity.  The following are pay penalties for violation of this rule:

      1-2 hours - PhP50.00 / 3-4 hours - PhP100.00
5 hours - PhP150.00  / 6 hours - PhP200.00
* A fraction of time is already considered an hour

* A frequency penalty for unexcused/no permit
  2x - additional PhP100.00 / 3x - additional PhP200.00
  4x - additional PhP300.00 / 5x - additional PhP400.00
  6x - for dismissal

5.      Notify the Resident Administrator by using the Notice of Absence form, if you intend to be away from the dorm for more than 24 hours.  Secure Gate Pass from the Resident Supervisor and Administrator for proper supervision.  Please attach SAO permit if it is a school related activity.  If for emergency reasons, the student failed to inform the administrator in writing, the parent and/or guardian should notify the administrator through text or call.  Please use the dormitory's cell phone number. 

(The management reserves the right to check the veracity of data indicated in your request to return Past Curfew Time or Notice of Absence Form for purposes of updating your parents of your whereabouts. It is understood that your parents cannot hold us liable for whatever may happen to you outside the dormitory premises).

Decorum

Staying in a dorm is a practice in living independently, yet in a community with peers. There are no personal house cleaners to cater to your needs and whims.  You are equally responsible for each other's welfare.  The following rules should be observed at all times:

1.      Maintain the cleanliness, order and care of your respective and utility areas.  Organize your things and area everyday.  Use the wastebaskets and basic cleaning materials available in every unit.

2.   Reduce and segregate waste using the boxes provided for proper garbage segregation. 

3.   Do not sleep in rooms other than your own. 

4.   Residents concerned are paged for calls received at the office or guardhouse.  If unanswered, the message received is posted at the bulletin boards. 

5.   Residents are allowed to receive calls from parents/guardians and co-residents only.  If expecting a call, prior arrangements should be made at the office.  Messages will be noted for calls made by other significant others. 

6.   Every first week of the month, residents are required to get their statement of accounts from the Resident Administrator.

7.   On bringing in and out of household accessories or equipment, residents are required to fill out the form intended for this purpose.  Equipment brought inside the dorm without proper documentation will be considered as dorm's property. 

Payment of Accommodation Fees

1.      The reservation fee is applied to breakage and curfew violation.  It is non-refundable if application to reside is cancelled.

2.   The contract to reside in Friedenshaus is valid for one semester only.

3.    Two (2) months deposit is not refundable and can only be used before the end of the 
 semester.

4.   1 month advance is consumed on the first month of stay

5.   Monthly lodging fees are due and payable every first week of the month

6.   A penalty of PhP50.00 is charged for every 2 months of delayed rent

7.   Breakage deposit and curfew penalty is only refundable a month after the resident decided to end her stay.

Termination of Residence 

1.      Submit a written notice by parents addressed to the Resident Administrator at least three (3) months prior to end of term.

2.      Pay all school and Friedenshaus account

3.   Exit interview with the Resident Administrator at least two (2) weeks before leaving the dorm.

4.      Arrange a suitable time with the administrator to conduct a departure inventory.

5.      Leave your areas clean, otherwise a professional cleaning fee will be charged on your account.

6.      Secure a clearance form from the Resident Supervisor and Administrator before leaving the Residence Hall.

Grounds for Automatic Termination of the Contract 

1.      Habitual failure to secure permission for an overnight stay outside the Residence Hall.

2.      Theft, immorality, drinking of alcohol, smoking, violent quarrels, public scandal, or any form of vandalism such as tampering of notices, records, bulletin boards, etc.

3.      Insubordination/disrespect/threats towards any person in authority, including the security guards.

4.      Possession and/or use of prohibited drugs, alcoholic beverages or explosives.

5.   Theft of electricity through secret installation of electric appliances/connection or putting on the aircon during unauthorized time, unless prior arrangement was made at the office.

6.      Possession and/or use of dangerous weapons

7.   Failure to heed three (3) warnings for misdemeanor or disturbance of peace, the third warning serves as the notice for automatic termination.

8.      Inflicting physical injury on any person especially those residing in the Friedenshaus

(Other than automatic termination of contract, the Resident Administrator may recommend the imposition of sanctions or disciplinary actions commensurate to the degree of the offense/s committed.)

House Rules - For Transients

Transient Room

1.      The Friedenshaus only allows visiting parents or guardian of the resident to stay overnight depending on the reason of stay.

2.      Only students that has special transaction with the school are allowed to stay for a period of time.

3.      The Friedenshaus is for students, parents/guardians and guest students of St. Scholastica's College only.  A person not related to the school is not allowed to stay as resident or as transient.

Policies and Procedures

1.   Inform the Resident Administrator before hand about the date, length, and the reason of stay of the parent/guardian or student.

2.      Eating is allowed but cooking is prohibited inside the transient room.

3.      Please observe cleanliness and orderliness.

4.      Transient rooms are not air conditioned.

5.      Payment is computed on a per day basis.  Total amount due will be paid before leaving the
      Residence Hall.

For Special Guests

Guest Room

Guest room is exclusively for the use of relatives of the Benedictine Sisters and school guests.
