       Grade School Circular

October 7, 2006

Dear Parents,

PAX!

October is the month of the Holy Rosary!

We have begun our Marian activities with the Block Rosary in the different Grade Levels and offices to pray for peace in our homes, our school, our nation and the world and to pray for the victims of the recent typhoon. We have distributed the traditional October medals to make our children aware of the Blessed Virgin Mary's role in our lives as Mother, model and intercessor to Jesus, our Lord.

The whole Scholastican community shall hold an institutional LIVING ROSARY on Friday, October 13th at 4:30 in the afternoon. Some Third Graders in their First Communion attire have been chosen to be the living beads as we pray and meditate on the mysteries of Christ's life. The Grades 2 to 6 girls shall join the whole community in prayer.

Below is the schedule for the children and some guidelines for dismissal on October 13th.

1.   For Grades 2 to 6 students who are NOT ATTENDING the activity:

a.   Present excuse letters signed by their parents or guardians to their Class Advisers or Head Teachers. Students who have no letters will not be given any Gate Pass; thus, they will be required to attend the Living Rosary.

b.   Present these letters, which were noted by their Class Advisers or Head Teacher, to the GS Office. The Office will issue Leaving the Campus Slips.

c.   Present the Leaving the Campus Slips to the Security Guards at the Gates.

d.   All those who are not attending the activity should go home right away.  Students who are still at Gate 6 when the activity begins will join the prayer under the HS Building.

2.   For students who ARE JOINING the prayer activity:

Only Gates I and 6 will be open at the end of the activity . We encourage you to fetch your children at Gate 6.

Gate I is normally the Exit Gate for the High School and College students. It will be too crowded with the common dismiss~ time and it will be hard to locate your children.

a.   Non-bus riders will wait along the tunnel of Gate 6.

b.   Bus riders will wait at their respective bus terminals and will be paged and fetched by their bus mothers and conductors.

c.  Children who will still be fetched at Gate 1 will be brought to Gate 1.

3.   This long school day on October 13th will take the place of the Saturday class.
Therefore, there will be NO CLASS ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14TH.

Club Field Trips will go on as usual.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely yours,

Miss Adelaida P. Villegas
Principal, Grade School Unit
