“The Prayer Room ought to be what it is called, and
nothing else is to be done or stored there.
After the prayer, all should leave in complete silence and with
reverence for God, so that anyone who may wish to pray alone will not be
disturbed …” (Rule of St. Benedict 52)
1. It is a place
for prayer, for silence, for
reflection and other religious activities;
it is not used for meetings.
2.
Silence is to be
maintained at all times to create an atmosphere
conducive
for prayer and
reflection.
3.
The Prayer Room is open
from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 6:30 a.m. to
12:00 noon on Saturdays when there are classes or
activities.

Reservation for the
special use of the Prayer Room (e.g. for class prayer service, class
recollection, etc.) should be filed at the High School
Campus Ministry Office at least one
week before the actual use.
5.
The Chapel is open from
4:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 4:45
a.m. to 6:30
p.m. on Saturdays when there are classes or activities.
6.
Reservation for the
special use of the Chapel should be filed at the Chapel Sacristy at least
one week before the actual use.
7.
Items/Materials (e.g.
crucifix, vigil candles, sinamay cloth, etc.) for common use and
for
borrowing are placed at the back portion of the Prayer
Room. Those who wish to borrow
may just sign in the borrower’s notebook.
8.
Items/Materials borrowed
must be returned in their proper places.
Damage or loss of
items/materials borrowed must be reported in writing to
the High School Campus Ministry
Office.
9.
Cleanliness and order
must be maintained at all times in the Prayer Room and Chapel.
Pieces of paper and other materials used in
prayer service or recollection must not be left
anywhere but instead, thrown in trash cans.
10. The altar table is sacred.
It is the symbol of Christ.
Therefore, only altar vessels are to be
placed on top of the altar.
11.
The sacristy is a place
for keeping sacred vessels, priest’s vestments and other
items/materials used for special feasts and other
liturgical celebrations. It is
not ordinarily
open to the public.
12.
The sacristy is also
used as a place where confession is held.
