In case of inclement weather without storm signals, students should wait for a DECS directive or an official announcement from the College President as disseminated through media (radio/TV). 3. Classes are also called off during official legal and religious holidays. Aside from these, only the Administration may suspend classes. 4. When classes are suspended in the middle of a class day, the following guidelines must be observed: a. The Class Adviser takes over the class. b. Commuters are released first. They are sent to the Office of Student Affairs to secure a Permit to Leave. Other students are kept in the classrooms until they are fetched. c. Bus drivers/conductors must first present their IDs to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) before their riders are fetched from their classrooms by official runners. d. Parents or their duly authorized representatives must first secure a Permit to Leave from the OSA. They may not fetch their daughter(s) directly from their classroom. 5. In cases where students are stranded in school, the following guidelines will be observed: a. Students are enjoined to stay in the High School Department. Students with sisters in the Grade School Department may bring them to the High School and together wait for their parents to fetch them. b. Classrooms will be designated for students' use. Listing of occupants will be updated regularly. Guards manning the gates will be informed/updated about this as well. c. Telephone lines will be made available to make calls to and receive calls from parents. The telephone brigade of the High School Parents' Association will also be tapped to relay important information. |
