Upon the invitation of the Conference
Coordinator of Assumption University, Bangna, Thailand, Dr. Virginia O.
Caneo and Prof. Milagros C. Tadeo, Chair and faculty of the Education
Department respectively flew to Thailand on November 23, 2006 to attend
the International Conference on Educational Leadership. The
international conference was an academic endeavor of the Assumption
University of Thailand, in conjunction with Stockholm University of
Sweden and University of Wollongong, Australia.
With its theme, Perspectives and
Challenges in Higher Education, the conference drew in about 600 delegates
from different countries like Australia, China, India, Sweden, USA, Canada,
Indonesia, UK, Burma, Singapore, Pakistan, Malaysia and Vietnam. Dr. Caneo
presented a paper on the
Association Between Teaching Styles and Selected
Variables: An Explanation of Outstanding Teaching in Higher Education
Institutions in Metro Manila. Prof. Tadeo joined the administrators from
India (University of Boroda), Thailand (Assumption University) and USA
(University of Dayton) in the panel discussion on Technological Strategies
to Enhance Quality in Higher Education. She also presented a paper on
New
