The performers, St. Scholastica’s College Voice Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra with their professors

The St. Scholastica’s College Voice Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra, in cooperation with Radio Veritas 846, will commemorate the birthday of our Blessed Mother on Saturday, September 9, 2006 with an evening of serenade in honor of Mary.  The concert entitled “Harana Kay Maria” will start at 8:00 in the evening at the Shrine Main Chapel of Queen of Peace, also known as Our Lady of Edsa.

The ensemble and orchestra will open the concert with Brandenburg Concert no. 3 by Bach, Stella Maris by Fr. Manoling Francisco and Magnificat by Haydn.  Other participating choirs are the People, Precious and Few Choir, Edsa Shrine Choir, Philippine Children’s Choir of Mandaluyong, Sta. Isabel Concert Singers, Munting Himig Choir of Makati, and San Agustin Boy’s Choir.  Featured guest is the Earthsaver’s Dream Ensemble, the UNESCO Artists for Peace.    

The concert will be aired live over Radio Veritas 846 from 8:00 to 10:00 in the evening.  Admission is free.
