TFSS renews MOA with MPD

SSC administrators with representatives from neighbouring schools and the Manila
 Police District Officers

The Task Force Safe School (TFSS) renewed its memorandum of agreement with the Manila Police District last September 4, 2006 at the Sr. Caridad Barrion Hall.  The TFSS is a partnership among three schools, De La Salle University (DLSU), College of St. Benilde (CSB) and St. Scholastica’s College (SSC) and the Manila Police District (MPD) that ensures mutual assistance and cooperation in the promotion of the safety and security of the Lasallian and Scholastican communities through active involvement and vigilance.

On hand to sign the MOA were S. Angelica Leviste, OSB, President of SSC, Dr. Carmelita Quebengco, EVP of DLSU, Dr. Rose Marie Clemeña, EVP of CSB and Police Senior Supt. Danilo Abarzosa, OIC District Director of the Manila Police District. The three schools’ Deans of Student Affairs, Security Officers, Presidents of Parents’ Association, Presidents of Student Councils, officers from the Manila Police District and other administrators and directors in the area of Student Services were present to witness the most important event.

After the MOA signing, SSC hosted a brunch prepared by the SSC Junior Restaurateur and Hotelier Association (JRHA).  Selected students from the School of Music serenaded the audience with classical pieces.
