The Guidance Office, in coordination with the High School Homeroom Program, sponsored the annual Career Exposure Trip last October 6, 2006.  It aimed to assist High School senior students in choosing the career they would like to take by exposing them to different work places and work environments.

Year IV students were grouped according to their career choices and the different organizations, institutions, and companies to which they were exposed were determined according to their expressed needs.  The career groups and the work places visited are listed below.

Group 1: Medicine/Nursing (De Los Santos Medical Center, Philippine Association of Medical Technologists, Inc., Medical Center, Manila)

Group 2: Mass Communication (SSC Mass Communication Department, Philippine Star, Observation of Media Application at Robinson’s Place, Dela Salle University-College of St. Benilde Multi-media Department)

Group 3: Business (People Support [Ayala Avenue, Makati], Center for International Entrepreneurship, Mall of Asia)

Group 4: Law/Accountancy (Ponce, Enrile, Reyes and Manalastas Law Office, SGV and Co./Carlos J. Valdes & Associates, Supreme Court)

Group 5: Psychology (People Support, PGH-CPU, SSC Psychology)

Group 6: Architecture/Interior Design/HRM/Engineering (Palafox Associates, Philippine School for Interior Design, SSC Hotel and Restaurant Management - Institute of Catering Management and Hospitality Technology)

The students’ evaluation of the career exposure program was highly commendable.  The participants gained significant insights through this exposure trip, which they can bring with them as they face another challenging stage in their life.
