Institutional Living Rosary October is the month of the Rosary. SSC had lined up activities to commemorate its devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, which started with the launching of the Rosary Month last October 2, 2006 during the Morning Praise. Medals of our Lady were distributed to students, administrators, faculty and staff to make them aware of the significant role of Mary, as model and intercessor to Jesus, our Lord. The image of the Blessed Virgin Mary likewise visited the different institutional offices from October 2-24. Office employees honored Our Lady through praying the five decades of the Rosary each day. The highlight of the annual Marian celebration was the Living Rosary held last October 13 at the field, which was attended by the whole Scholastican community. Administrators, faculty and staff led the Bible reading and recitation of the Rosary. Some Third Graders in their First Communion attire were chosen to be the living beads as the community prayed and meditated on the mysteries of Christ’s life and suffering. The Scholastican community has always been devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is through similar activities that the school is able to spread and promote love to our Dearest Mother.
