Violin Master Class with Takako Nishizaki

On
November 15, the String Department of the School of Music in cooperation
with Naxos Recording Company sponsored a Master Class by international
violinist, Takako Nishizaki. She is the first student to complete the
Suzuki course under the tutulege of his father Shinji, co- founder of
the Suzuki Method. She won Second Prize in the Leventritt
International Competition and first Prize in the Juilliard Concerto
Competition. Her recording of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons has sold more than
1 million copies to date. |

Three of
our students performed. Joseph Brian Cimafranca played the first movement
of the Bruch Concerto, Sara Maria Gonzales played Bach Partitia No. 2,
allemande ,and Christian Tan performed Wieniawski’s Concerto in d
minor, Second movement.
