Sr. Liguori Life Management and Wellness Center, in coordination with the High School Program and Guidance Unit, sponsored a Social Interaction last November 6-8, 2006 at the school campus.

Preparations

Nine sections of SSC Year II participated in this unique sharing of ideas and imparting of Benedictine values with their Year III and IV counterpart students from Don Bosco Technical Institute.  It was a very fitting venue for gaining insights and enriching their social life as young adolescents.

When Bosconians meet the Scholasticans .... the Social Interaction held at the Sr. Kuniberta Hall on November 6-8, 2006

Prior to the main activity, an orientation was held on October 10-11, 2006 to discuss the details of the gathering.  Student facilitators attended a special seminar on group facilitation and dynamics on October 9 and 25.  Selected Scholasticans submitted different games and activities for the Structured Learning Experiences (SLE) which added enthusiasm for the program.

The D-Day!

The three-day interaction opened with inspiring messages by Sr. Michaela Manalang, OSB, High School (HS) Principal; Mrs. Corazon Huvalla, OIC, Guidance Department;  Ms. Alma Alcantara, HS Guidance Coordinator and Ms. Madeline Camilo, Year II Adviser.

The co-ed symposium activity on “True Love Waits” facilitated by Mr. Gel Clavero II, Year III Guidance Counselor of Don Bosco Technical Institute, Makati, paved the way for new learning experiences for the Kulasas and the Bosconians.  The structured learning and experiential activities conducted by the student facilitators helped the participants process their ideas.

The whole day activity culminated with the showcase of talents by the Scholasticans and Bosconians, counselors’ synthesis of the program, sharing of insights by students and closing messages delivered by Ms. Rose Anne Rosanes, Mrs. Veronica Saddul, both Year II advisers and adviser-in-charge for the third quarter, and Ms. Remedios Mina.

The Scholasticans and Bosconians exchanged tokens to seal their newly formed friendship.  The Bosconians surprised the Scholasticans with their class tokens representing their class course.

Seminar Evaluation

The seminar evaluation of the interaction dubbed as “Let’s talk about it: The Scholasticans encounter with the Bosconians” was held on November 13, 2006 at Sr. Ehrentrudis Hall.  The evaluation was attended by the sophomores, advisers, subject teachers, counselors and Ms. Cristina Samonte, OIC for Student Formation.

With the success of the interaction, the Scholasticans are looking forward to another similar enriching activity with the Bosconians.
