That there is one thing that one should know, and that is to know one's self.

This one's called the Barber's Paradox.
There was once a barber in a far away land who declared this logical statement: "I (the barber) shave all persons in this land who do not shave themselves."
Two logically complimentary statements can be inferred from this: (1) If a person shaves himself, then he need not go to the barber, and (2) If a person does not shave himself, then he needs to go to the barber.
Now, a problem is then asked: "WHO THEN SHAVES THE BARBER?"
