    First batch of new teachers attended BTF.
This year's Benedictine Teacher Formation Seminar was held on November 21-22 at St. Scholastica's Center of Spirituality in Tagaytay City with Sr. Mary Ignatius Aquino, OSB as the facilitator. It was attended by 13 and 7 new faculty members from the High School and College Units, respectively.

The second installment of the Institutional Faculty Development Series of Seminars (IFDSS) was held on May 24, 25 and 29, 2012.

    A Visit to the "Fine" City called Singapore.
The Grade School Unit under the leadership of Sr. Edna Quiambao, OSB, has adopted and implemented Singapore Math from Grades 1 to 6. In 2011, the first batch of Math teachers was sent to Singapore for them to learn and see for themselves how education is delivered in the country.

    Student-Achievers honored in 3rd VPAA Testimonial.
The prestigious event was attended by the student-achievers themselves, the administrators headed by Sr. Mary Thomas C. Prado, OSB, School President.

SSC participates at KBP picket.  
SSC joins a handful of protesters Monday demanding that the KBP ban
Revillame from the air for allegedly abusing a child in his show Willing Willie.

SSC and OLAS formalize collaboration

Project 28 days The Fine Arts department presented four exhibitions showcasing theses projects under its Visual Communication, Visual Arts and Interior Design programs.  The exhibits provided an opportunity to show exciting new work by emerging artists covering a wide range of media including painting, photography, printmaking, installation practice and interior design. Alma Espartinez, Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence, delivers occasional lectures in the US East Coast.
A faculty member of the Philosophy Department of St. Scholastica’s College,  Dr. Alma Espartinez, gave a series of Occasional Lectures from March 2-16, 2011 to various US universities in the East Coast.

Benedictine Pilgrimage to Rome, Germany and Spain

Twenty-nine administrators and faculty from the three units - Grade School, High School and College - will go on a Benedictine Pilgrimage on April 18 to 28, 2011.  The group will explore  the beginnings of the Benedictine monastic tradition with visits to Subiaco and Montecassino in Italy, the communities that St. Benedict, the school’s patron saint,  founded.  Posted 03/14/11 04:00 PM

St. Scholastica's College, Manila: Host to the Country's First Hiroshima Atomic Bombing  Exhibit and Peace Video-Conference
