Scholasticans gather for the annual job fair

The Career and Placement Office (CPO) in partnership with JobsDB.Com, Careers @ Ayala Group and Accenture, sponsored the school's annual Job Fair held at the Sr. Kuniberta Strathmann Hall last January 29-30, 2008. 

The Job Fair was open to all third and fourth year college students who were looking for on-the-job-training (OJT)/Internship sites or for permanent employment after graduation. It is one of the major events of the CPO that encourages SSC students to build their future careers through awareness of various career opportunities in the industry.  

The Psychology Society assisted the Career and Placement Office in this undertaking.  The Psychology class of 301A and B served as usherettes, secretariat team and front liners of the event. 

Companies like Careers @ Ayala Group (composed of the following companies: Ayala Systems Technology Inc., Bank of the Philippine Islands, Integrated Microelectronics, Isuzu Automotive, Honda Cars and Community Innovations), SMART, SM Malls, Accenture, HSBC, Deustche Knowledge Services, Belo Medical Group, Philippine Airlines and Pfizer Inc. were represented in the said event.

A total of sixty-four (64) companies participated,  forty-seven (47) of whom were present in the two-day event.  Sr. Kuniberta Hall was laid out in such a way that students felt that they were outside of the school looking around for job openings or internship sites.  

Moreover, the Social Security System (SSC) staff were present to give out SSC numbers to the graduating students.
