President Corazon C. Aquino stages an art exhibit

Posted: Tuesday August 07, 2007 03:25 PM

The St. Scholastica’s Archives Museum opened its doors to students, alumnae and art lovers during its first major activity entitled, “A Tribute to Ninoy”.  The art exhibit featured paintings of former President Corazon C. Aquino, with a grand opening and cocktails held last August 2, 2007 at the St. Scholastica’s  Archives Museum, P. Ocampo Street, Malate, Manila.

The event, the first ever launched by St. Scholastica’s Archives Museum since its formal opening last December 3, 2006, presented the artwork of former President Aquino, herself a Scholastican, from her own personal and private collection.

The exhibit, scheduled in time to commemorate the 24th death anniversary of Benigno Aquino, Jr., will have a one-week run from August 3 to 9, 2007.  The St. Scholastica’s Archives Museum is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Aside from the art exhibit, the Archives Museum also features its regular display of memorabilia from St. Scholastica’s College’s schools and mission houses across the country, an interactive corner detailing significant events from SSC’s founding in 1906, and a celebration of the school’s Pax Awardees.
