RULES OF THE GAME: BADMINTON
 

4 BADMINTON RULES

1.   The Tournament rules shall follow the International Badminton Federation laws of badminton for the current year.

2.   Any unforeseen incidents not covered by the rules shall be the responsibility of the Technical officials of the Tournament.

     Tournament Format:

     1.   Team Event:  Men's Doubles / Ladies Doubles / Mixed Doubles (if necessary)
     2.   Scoring System: Rally Point / Straight 21 points, best of 3 games
     3.   Group Event: Single Round Robin (Elimination Round) /
                             Rank 1 to 4 then: 1 vs. 4 (semi-finals) / 2 vs. 3 / Top 2 Finals
     4.   Breaking of Ties: In case of 2 - way tie - winner over the other rule
                                   In case of multiple ties - Total points difference of all matches
                                   shall apply
     5.   Defaulting Time: Ten (10) minutes after players' name are called with court
           assignment

 

3.   In case of injuries, the injured pair will be given only five-minute break.  If the player cannot continue, the match will be forfeited.  A muscle cramp is not considered an injury.
