Launching of Cafe Cyrilla

The Institute for Catering Management and Hospitality Technology (I-CATHY) Cafe Cyrilla has been humbly operating for more than a year now but it was never formally launched nor introduced to the Scholastican Community since it opened and started serving food to students and employees of the school. 

Last July 1, 2008, the I-CATHY Cafe Cyrilla was officially launched with the aim to promote particularly to the College administrators and faculty members the venue, which can be a very convenient and suitable place for small meetings. Cafe Cyrilla is conveniently located at the right wing of the St. Cecilia's Building (Music Department), 2nd floor.

The event was well attended with SSC President, Sr. Angelica Leviste, OSB gracing the occasion with her presence.  The program started with an Invocation led by Ms. Dorothy Agulto, JR.HA President, followed by the Introduction and Opening Remarks given by Dr. Amelia Tuble.  In behalf of the I-CATHY Director, Ms. Concepcion Naromal, faculty, students and staff, Dr. Tuble welcomed the guests to the launching of Cafe Cyrilla.   This was followed by the formal blessing of the cafe venue by Sr. Angelica Leviste, OSB.  Refreshments followed the blessing.  The food and drinks served were composed of California Maki, Thai Spring Rolls, Pizza Pandesal, Bread and Butter Pudding, Coffee and Iced Tea.

With some improvements this year, I-CATHY presented Cafe Cyrilla to the community as a venue where meeting and dining can be as pleasurable as it can get!  At Cafe Cyrilla, quality food and service are guaranteed by I-CATHY students who run the place and take care of purchasing, cooking, serving and delivery of food to the guests, under the supervision of a full time Catering Supervisor.    

With the launching, I-CATHY’s Cafe Cyrilla is now officially open to the SSC Community offering a wide variety of exciting menus everyday.  Cafe Cyrilla is open during weekdays from 9:30am to 11:30am and from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.
