The multimedia competition aimed to promote and develop public awareness on the issue of media killings and the culture of impunity in our country. The competition had three categories: poster, radio plug and short video. The themes were as follows:  ending the culture of impunity, the media’s public service role, democracy and the killing of journalists. Under contest rules, participants should be currently enrolled tertiary level students or student teams from all universities, colleges, and schools in the Philippines. Participants must submit only original work and may submit as many entries as they want in any category. There were almost 70 students across the Philippines who joined the competition but only 44 entries were chosen to be judged.
