May 21, 2005 - forty-one (41) boys from Pandacan, Barangay 865 underwent the rite of passage from boyhood to manhood in an Operation Tuli (mass circumcision) co-sponsored by the High School Outreach, High School Parents' Association and High School Alumnae (Batch 1998).

The activity was held inside the barangay hall where four tables topped with newspapers served as "operating tables" for the circumcision.  Dr. Francisco San Diego, owner of San Diego Medical Clinic in Cainta and part owner of Metro Rizal Hospital and his team of three (3) medical students assisted by nursing students from Fatima School of Nursing ably circumcised all 41 boys in three hours (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon).

High School Principal Sr. Michaela Manalang, OSB, OIC for Academics,
Mrs. Virginia Fornias, and other teachers and high school alumnae were around to assist in the activity - from having the boys line up properly while awaiting their turn, putting a new layer of newspaper for every new boy to be circumcised, as well as giving out the post-circumcision medical kits.

Chairman Arturo dela Cruz of Barangay 865 thanked Dr. San Diego for his generosity of time in the service of the community.  The doctor was celebrating his birthday that day and he spent the whole morning in the Operation Tuli.  Chairman dela Cruz also acknowledged the organizers of the activity - Mrs. Jo Rivera and Mrs. Lourdes Sueno of the HSPA, Karla La Rosa (Student Council President SY 1997-1998), Ms. Wilma Cabandi (Asst. Coordinator) and Mary Ann Cruz (Coordinator) of the Outreach.

Barangay 865 is an urban poor community that has been adopted by the HS Outreach since 2003.  High School students regularly go to this community on Saturdays for the Supplementary Education Program of the Outreach.  It also serves as an exposure area for Third Year High School students. n
