Grade School presents “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
by Julita P. Santos, Grade 6 Head Teacher and
AMND ’06 Stage and Production Manager

The elves in the play

For 16 years now, the Grade Six students have been staging “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (AMND) by William Shakespeare.  Each one of them could now claim ownership of the play as they all have taken the opportunity to perform a part on stage as actors, and backstage as production staff members.  This year’s successful presentation of the play was quite unique in terms of stage and costume design.

As a member of the Teacher Production Staff, I feel that once again, another door has been opened for each

grade six student to develop her talents and skills to the fullest.  Through the production of AMND, the students were able to experience a new approach in learning process that will help them to become women capable of expressing themselves through the arts.

The play was presented at the St. Ehrentrudis Hall last February 22, 23 and 28, 2006. n
