Recruitment Week 2005

The Student Organizations, in coordination with the Student
Council and the Student Affairs Office, successfully held its
recruitment week last July 13-15, 2005 at the Social Hall and
Freezone Area. The activity was entitled “May the Orgs Be With
You”, after the famous line of Anakin in the movie Star Wars.
The Dean of Student Affairs Mrs. Rhodora Ferrer delivered the
opening remarks to launch the activity. There were exciting games
|
and a special intermission number played by the Astorya Band. SSC
Music students Mr. Jonathan
Gonzales, Mr. Krish Tincaro and Mr. IR Ventura rendered an
original arranged version of “Through the Fire.”

|
The different organizations artistically decorated their
respective booths to attract more members to join their group.
Aside from the general program prepared by the Student Council,
each organization lined-up gimmicks and fun activities for
students. Some organization members even put on Star
Wars-inspired costumes to amplify the theme of the event.
Recruitment Week 2005 ended with the awarding of winners for the
