The first and
the third year college students, in coordination with the Student
Affairs Office, organized Kuluausahan 2005 that aimed to
foster camaraderie among students. The affair was held last
November 11, 2005 at the school field. “We want the freshmen and
the juniors to develop bonds like brothers and sisters,” the
organizers said.
Inspired by the
traditional concept of the “Kulasahan,” the student
officers slightly changed the title of the event to
|
“Kuluausahan”
to give the theme a Hawaiian twist. Surprisingly, the students
warmly welcomed the concept and came in their very detailed and
colorful hawaiian outfits! The best dressed award went to Ms.
Charmaine Enimedez, a third year HRM student.

Dean of Student
Affairs Mrs. Rhodora Angela Ferrer gave the opening remarks. This
was immediately followed by fun games facilitated by lively emcees
Ms. Tracy Manlangit, third year Mass Communication student and DJ
Johan of Mellow Touch 94.7. The Council of Representatives
presented an upbeat dance number to the tune of “My Humps” by
Black Eyed Peas. First year students Mr. Ryan Kabigting
and Mr. Jed Belen of the Fine Arts department rendered an equally

number entitled
“Tensionado” by Soap
Dish.

The event was
capped with a sumptuous dinner of roasted chicken, pasta in
Bolognese sauce, garlic bread, pastries and iced tea prepared by
no less than Chef Nelson Roque of the I-CATHY. While eating, the
students were serenaded by Industria Band, Shalimar and the Extra
Pilots and Lollipop Balloons. The night ended with a closing
remark given by
Ms. Vanessa Guerrero, Assistant to the Dean of Student
Affairs.
