Its goal is to serve as the government tool to address prevailing issues of the youth and guide in policy formulation and program development for the youth in the country.

The NYP is a biennial interval gathering called by the National Youth Commission (NYC). There were 291 delegates chosen this year who attended the said parliament that

represented 28% of the youth sector taking in consideration equal and geographical representation among men and women, members of youth organizations of government, NGOs and Pos, ethnic and religious organizations.

The three Scholastican delegates preferred to be involved in the Youth Participation and Internal Response Committee.
