Team-building for
T.R.I.P.S.

After
two postponements, T.R.I.P.S. went to MMLDC in Antipolo City for the
annual team-building activity on December 11, 2004. MMLDC is a
training facility of Meralco Foundation Inc. It has tribal camps
for team-building activities, accommodation for in-house training,
pool, aviary and recreational facilities. It may look a little
late for the club to launch the event but the timing was perfect
because more activities were prepared.
The
team-building aimed at a better understanding of the individual
strengths and weaknesses of the members, their contribution and hopes
for the club. This was anchored in identifying how we can reach
our goal knowing that there are forty-one (41) members who are
consistently working to make T.R.I.P.S. one of the most productive
clubs in the High School unit.
It
was a very enriching activity because the members learned that they
have to set aside their differences to work for a common goal.
The highlight of the activity was the physical challenge called
"Follow my Lead." The club was divided into four (4) groups and
they each had a leader and three (3) co-leaders who will give
directions to their group mates who were blindfolded and alternately
ties in their arms or legs. It was a demanding activity but it
set the pace for the whole event.
The
club wishes to thank Mrs. Rica Uy for her valuable input in the design
of the activities.
