With an overall score of 244 points, the SSC High School varsity swimmers landed on top of the National Capital Region Amateur Swimming Association's Second Season Meet held at the Valle Verde pool on October 9-10, 2004.

The girls maintained the overall position they have held for many years as Number One swimming varsity in the Association.

Codette Rosete of Year II (Industry) dominated the 50 meter free style while Klaudine Decena and

Carmina Quilala, landed as numbers 1 and 2 at the 100 meter free style respectively.  Rosete was also number two in the 100 meter free style for her age group.  Quilala meanwhile bagged another gold at the 50 meter back stroke as well as silver in the 100 meter fly with Klaudine Decena.  In the 100 meter fly, Rosete was number one while Decena, Emrin Hamsain and Kathleen Negado shared proximate positions in the top ten.

The outstanding performance of the High School swimmers has been attributed to their high team spirit due to the determination they put into their regular training sessions.  The morale and discipline of the members of the team are monitored by Coach Amrin Hamsain and Mrs. Emma Hamsain, also a swimming coach and moderator of the unit's Sports Organization.

The girls are expected to do very well in the upcoming Women National Collegiate Athletics Association's (WNCAA) Swimming Competition in January in which they have been on the top position for years. n
