The Milo Best Women's Volleyball League Champions - SSC High School Volleyball Team

St. Scholastica's College out steadied St. Mary's College in a five-set thriller to salvage the high school (developmental) title in the 10th Milo BEST Women's Volleyball League (WVL) last Sunday at San Beda's St. Placid courts in Mendiola.

The SSC girls triumphed 24-26; 25-15; 25-20; 18-25; 15-13 after two other SSC squads had been frustrated in their separate crown bids in the high school (competitive) and elementary (developmental) levels.

St. Scho fell to San Antonio de Padua 17-25; 24-26; 20-25 in the secondary (competitive) finals and 25-17; 8-25; 4-15 in the elementary (developmental) event.

Colegio de San Agustin claimed the elementary (competitive) plum by subduing La Salle Lipa 25-22; 29-27.

Team and individual awardees received their prizes from former track and field superstar Lydia de Vega and Milo sports executive Pat Goo-Ong. n
